Nutrition Education Program NEP Brochure (pdf) NEP helps participants acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behavior changes necessary to improve their health. This program is free to all participants who meet income guidelines. NEP Income Guidelines (pdf, 9 KB) NEP participants are taught how to:
NEP participants graduate from a specified curriculum that is delivered by nutrition staff within their community. Participants in NEP are taught individually, in small groups, agencies, community sites, at home through mail lessons or phone visits. The nutrition assistant will need to complete a food recall and behavior checklist with you when you begin and end the program. After you have completed six lessons, you will receive a graduation certificate and recipe book.
